Over the last few days there have been several agencies in the US limit their single parents to 3-10 applicants per year as a new directive from MOWA. This has me very concerned. My agency says nothing has changed for them...but how is one to really know. I don't know what to do at this point. My gut is saying Woah..hold off a few months and see where this goes????? I don't know!!

Thanks for your reply to my inquiry about this on the board. As I suggested there - don't put off on #2 because the opportunity may not be there later on. From what my agency told me today, if something DOES change down the road, as long as your file is in Ethiopia, you would be grandfathered in.
I hear you Louise. As a single I've been nervous through my entire wait this time. I don't think I will breathe a sigh of relief until after I have a successful court hearing. Good luck making your decision. If I was in your situation I might ask the agency if they have any other programs for singles that they are working on and if you can switch down the road (without financial penalty) if things change.
thinking of you as you wait for child #2, not knowing when or how long... it is not easy. also your xmas greeting is beautiful, hope i can return the gesture sometime soon, love sk
